These terms apply to purchases from and use of phdproducts.co.uk. Read them alongside our Shipping & Delivery, Returns Policy and Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Products and suitability

We supply laboratory equipment, glassware and consumables. Check the product reference, specifications and selling quantity on the listing before ordering: one catalogue quantity may represent a single item or a stated pack. Photographs may show a product family or illustrate its use; the listing identifies what is supplied. Accessories and contents are included only where stated.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, operating limits and applicable safety procedures. If you need help choosing a product for a particular use, contact us before purchase. We may update listings for future purchases, but an update does not remove our obligations concerning an order already placed.

Orders

Provide accurate contact and delivery details and use a payment method you are authorised to use. Review the basket and checkout information before placing an order. If we cannot fulfil an order because of availability, an obvious listing or pricing error, suspected fraud or another legitimate reason, we will contact you and refund any payment for goods we cannot supply. We do not substitute a different product without agreement.

Prices, VAT and payment

Catalogue prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable VAT. The checkout shows the delivery charge, any applicable tax adjustment and the total payable for the selected destination before you place the order. Payment must be received before dispatch. Available payment options are shown at checkout.

Delivery

We hold stock and dispatch orders from Northern Ireland and the UK. See our Shipping & Delivery page for dispatch cutoffs, delivery options and shipping thresholds. Delivery estimates are not a guaranteed arrival date. Contact us if an order is delayed or missing so we can investigate with the carrier.

For a consumer purchase, responsibility for the goods normally remains with us until you or a person you nominate takes physical possession. Delivery delays do not remove your cancellation or other statutory rights.

International orders

Shipping availability and charges depend on the delivery address. International orders may be subject to local import requirements, duties or taxes not collected at checkout. Any such destination charges are normally payable by the recipient. Check local requirements before ordering, and contact us if you need clarification about the delivery arrangements for your destination. We do not guarantee that every product can be imported or used in every country.

Returns and warranty support

Our Returns Policy explains consumer cancellation, business returns, faults and return arrangements. PhDProducts is your first contact for warranty claims on products bought from us. The absence or expiry of a manufacturer’s warranty does not remove a consumer’s statutory rights.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of business or profits, or losses arising from misuse of a product or failure to follow applicable instructions. These provisions do not remove any mandatory consumer remedy or our responsibility for supplying goods as agreed.

Website content and use

Website text, images, branding and other content belong to us or their respective rights holders. Do not reproduce them without the appropriate permission. Use this website lawfully; do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or submit fraudulent information. We may restrict access where necessary to address misuse.

Our Privacy Policy describes how personal information is used and how to contact us about your information.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms for future orders. The terms applicable when you purchase remain relevant to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with the courts of England and Wales having jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory law and court rights available to consumers in their place of residence.
